Quickdraw uses Solana nonce accounts to get your transactions through faster. The trading flow stays the same – Quickdraw speeds up what happens behind the scenes so your trades land on-chain quicker.

What is Quickdraw?

On Solana, every transaction includes a recent blockhash that expires after roughly 60–90 seconds. If the network is congested and your transaction doesn’t land in time, it fails. Quickdraw bypasses this limitation by using nonce accounts – a Solana feature that replaces the expiring blockhash with a durable nonce value. This means your transactions don’t race against a ticking clock, giving them a better chance of landing even during heavy network traffic. Think of it like Axiom’s Turbo Mode: same trading flow, faster execution under the hood.

How It Works

Nonce Accounts

A dedicated on-chain account stores a durable nonce value that replaces the standard blockhash. Transactions using this nonce stay valid until the nonce is advanced – no 60–90 second expiry window.

Faster Landing

Combined with optimised transaction routing, Quickdraw gets your trades confirmed faster. The difference matters most when sniping launches or catching sudden dips.
When you enable Quickdraw:
  1. A small amount of SOL is deposited to create a nonce account
  2. Your transactions use the durable nonce instead of a recent blockhash
  3. Optimised routing sends transactions through faster infrastructure
  4. After each trade, the nonce advances to its next state
Nonce accounts require a small SOL deposit (rent-exempt minimum). This SOL is recoverable when you disable Quickdraw.

Enabling Quickdraw

  1. Go to SettingsTrading
  2. Find the Quickdraw section
  3. Toggle Enable Quickdraw
  4. Approve the nonce account creation transaction
  5. Wait for confirmation

Quickdraw Status

When Quickdraw is active, you’ll see indicators near the trade buttons:
StatusMeaning
ReadyNonce account active, faster execution available
RefreshingNonce is advancing after a recent trade
DisabledStandard transaction flow

When to Use Quickdraw

Best For

Sniping new token launches, catching sudden dips, high-frequency trading – any situation where faster transaction landing gives you an edge.

Consider Disabling

Low-urgency trades where speed doesn’t matter, or if you want to minimise the SOL locked in nonce accounts.

Managing Your Nonce Account

Checking Status

View your nonce account status in SettingsTradingQuickdraw. You’ll see the current balance and account health.

Adding Funds

If your nonce account runs low:
  1. Go to Quickdraw settings
  2. Click Add Funds
  3. Deposit additional SOL

Disabling & Withdrawing

To disable Quickdraw and recover your SOL:
  1. Go to SettingsTradingQuickdraw
  2. Toggle Disable Quickdraw
  3. Confirm the withdrawal transaction
  4. SOL returns to your main wallet

Troubleshooting

Check that your nonce account has sufficient balance and that the status shows Ready. Extreme network congestion can still affect landing times even with nonce accounts.
The nonce may have advanced between trades – the system will auto-recover. Check that you have enough SOL for the trade and that your slippage settings aren’t too tight.
Ensure you have enough SOL for the nonce account deposit, check your wallet connection, and try refreshing the page.
