# Bot Security

> Keep your funds safe when using the Telegram bot

Your security is paramount. Here's how to stay safe when using Quickscope's Telegram bot.

## How Quickscope Works

Quickscope uses a **non-custodial** architecture. This means:

## Verification

Always verify you're talking to the official Quickscope bot:

  Scammers create fake bots with similar names. Always verify the exact username before interacting.

## Security Best Practices

### Do ✅

* **Verify bot username** before every session
* **Use DM** for sensitive commands (wallet, settings)
* **Enable 2FA** on your Telegram account
* **Review transactions** before confirming

### Don't ❌

* **Never share** your private key or seed phrase
* **Never click** links from unknown users claiming to be Quickscope
* **Never enter** private keys in group chats
* **Never trust** "support" that DMs you first

## Private Key Export

If you need to export your private key:

1. This can only be done via DM with the bot
2. The key is shown once and not stored
3. Export in a private, secure location

  Anyone with your private key has full access to your funds. Never share it, screenshot it, or store it in cloud services.

## Reporting Suspicious Activity

If you encounter:

* Fake Quickscope bots
* Scam messages in groups
* Suspicious behavior
